Based on the pattern of the fire starters after gen 2, Fennekin might be a fire/fighting type, just like Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar. Though the psychic theory is quite intriguing, and I hope that this one will be the case.
Oooh man can't wait to see what this guy's evolutions are gonna look like! can't afford to buy the console/game aww but I'm excited to see the new pokemon in any case and what they'll look like, looks like a promising start anyway! XD found this fanmade evolution on some Japanese website, I think it's pretty cool! [link]?
the eye idea is interesting though! and I like how you combined all the warm yellows/oranges and purple + white lines *3*
I'm really curious and dying to know, was I the one who inspired you? O: in any case I've said it on tumblr but I'll say it again, this is so gorgeous and peaceful omfg I'm in love with this. ;n; <3333
It is true Fennekin is going to be fire-psychic, but omg those 3 eyes could be true ;o; But, but, but.. if they are related to his psychic powers, shouldn't he have opened them at the trailer when he used that psy attack? Just wondering :c Really beautiful art, Zan <3 His pose is perfect, and I love you made the lineart white :3

Obviously Chespin is Grass, Fennekin is Fire, and Froakie is Water, but many have pointed out that there's even more to see. Fennekin uses a Psychic move, Froakie uses a Fighting move, and Chespin uses a Dark move. Since Psychic beats Fighting, Fighting beats Dark, and Dark beats Psychic, this means there's a SECOND trio of elemental rock-paper-scissors at work. That means, though Chespin is weak to Fennekin because of its first type (Grass loses to Fire) it'll be strong because of its secondary type (Dark is strong against Psychic).
